About us

Coaching in the SANFL, I was searching the web for AFL training drills. After googling some pretty obvious terms, I couldn't find a site with a large number of professionally presented drills.

A year of hard work followed to fill the niche, documenting drills used by coaches at AFL, SANFL, VFL and grass-roots level, and developing some fantastic tools and resources for coaches. This resource is now available to the football community to draw from and contribute to.

The team and I hope you enjoy the site.

Kind Regards,
Brett Gaborit
Site Developer, ex-player and assistant coach in the SANFL & SFL.

Coach Assist is for...

Senior Coaches

The sheer volume and quality of training drills in our database will ensure that every coach will find something invaluable to add to their arsenal, no matter if you coach AFL or grass-roots level football. If players do the same drills week-in, week-out, the level of stimulation they will get from training will drop, so this site helps coaches keep training fresh and challenging for players.
Coaches with work committments who are pressed for time can generate a training session with a mouse-click, including step-by-step instructions and a diagram of the drills to use. We also provide you with an online diary to remember your season, training sessions and drills..

Junior Coaches
Many parents/teachers volunteer to coach the school football side. Some would have played football, but many are new to the coaching experience. This site is of huge benefit to people in this category. A host of easy to follow drills for juniors with step-by-step instructions, plus a one-click training session generator take the load off your shoulders.
